Today was Nicole's farewell at church. We all participated. I think it went very well. Steve bore his testimony about being grateful for the knowledge the Gospel has brought into his life. Mine was about developing Christlike attributes. My fav quote in my talk was from Sheri Dew. She said someone once paid her a compliment and said, "Sister Dew, I bet when you wake up in the morning the adversary says to himself, 'oh heck, she's awake again!' I would hope he feels that way about all of us b/c of our commitment to living the gospel!
Dad talked about having the spirit in our lives. Colie...well, she may want to say in her own blog, but the message I got was how much of a privilege it is to be on the Lord's errand.
I was doing just fine until the closing song and Dad and I were sharing the hymn book and he stopped singing because he was choked up. That did me in. Otherwise children, you would have been proud of me!
Tonight for FHE, Nicole gave the lesson on Presidents of the U.S. It was well done. We have had some great leaders. Hopefully it will continue! Happy Presidents Day tomorrow. Dad has to work, but Steve gets to sleep in.
Oh, and the wrestling update. Considering it was Europeans, he did ok. Of course he would have liked to have done better. There were 12 in his weight class, the top wrestlers in Europe. Of course they were all good! He did stay safe from injury. For that I am supremely grateful.
Finally, two new Herway baby boys on the way! Yahoo!

It was, as dad mentioned, fun to talk as a family because in our ward there are so many people moving in and out that they never need you to give talks!
Oh wow! I wish we could have been there. You guys really have a special ward and a remarkable family. A killer combination.
I too wish I could have been there. It would have been fun. Oh but wait. That means I would've had to talk. Never mind. So far we haven't had to talk in Texas! One year, 4 months and counting...
I wish we could have been there to hear everyone speak, I am sure you all did so great!
