Tattle tale

So Tom had to save me from myself on Sunday, and his payment is that I have to put the whole darn story on my blog!
I hate to carry the car keys with me into church, mostly because I don't have anywhere to put them and I'm afraid that I will lose them. Thus, I usually just leave the car unlocked and leave the keys in the side pocket of the door. Yesterday, I pulled into the parking space, took the keys out of the ignition, got out of the car, and when the door shut, I automatically turned the key to lock the car. BUT, Steve hadn't shut his door yet, and I went to his side of the car to ask him if he would keep the keys, but then changed my mind because I didn't want to bother him with the keys. So I dropped then into the door pocket and then shut his door.
OOPS>
The car was locked and the keys were inside. Hard to pull off, but I managed. Tom was at a conference. So when I knew he was back home, I had to call him and ask him to come and save me! And he did, and now I have payed him for his kind service by posting the whole story on the blog. Ugh!
Oh, and lest I don't tell the whole story, I also left my purse in his car overnight. Guess I just wasn't happy to let it get stolen in Rome, I was begging for it to happen in Brussels.
Pretty pitiful, I confess.
Now Tom, we are even. (He thought it was unfair that I told everyone about the attack of the Mighty Mouse! This evens things up.)

Where would we be without our husbands to save us? :) Did I ever tell you the story of Rachel locking me out of the house?
