Angels in Germany

We just got back from Germany. We took Larry and Robin to the Rhine river and stayed in a castle. Had a super visit. Loved the castle and the food and the hikes and the river. We were in the car, all the suitcases loaded, and our seatbelts fastened, but the car wouldn't start!
Bummer.
We asked the hotelier for help. He and his wife turned out to be angels. They called a repairman. He came but couldn't fix it. They called the German touring secour. They couldn't help us either. They called Europcar and helped us make car reservations. Then they drove us to the train station and helped us get tickets to Koblenz. We took the train, then a taxi to Europcar where we rented a car and drove home to Brussels.
In the meantime, the angels were hard at work. We left them our car key. They arranged to have the car towed to the garage. Then they PAID the garage after the work was completed. Then they picked up the car and it is now parked at their hotel waiting for us to come and pick it up. Then they emailed me with the news.
All this because they are just good people. When was the last time you can remember helping strangers to this extent?
This was huge. There was no way in the world we could have done this without them. I've never felt so indebted in my life!

That is amazing. The world is full of good people. I think you need to bring them some Belgian chocolates and that speculoos spread. :)

That really is above and beyond. Could you imagine having to do all that without their help. Crazy. It's already crazy. I hope they receive lots and lots of blessings.

We are excited to stay at their hotel and meet these wonderful people. I'm glad they were so good to you and that you made it home safely. We will be on our best behavior when we stay there!
