We found a perfect restaurant for our last evening in Sicily. We loved the town of Taormina, so that is where we hung out a lot of the time. This restaurant had a great view of the shoreline, and the sunset as we ate dinner. But the funny part was the waitress just loved Taft. Every time she had a minute, she came over to talk to him. Then she called over the waiter, and the two of them couldn't get enough of Taft. He was pretty enthralled with them as well. It was pretty funny.
Oh, there is one shot of me overlooking the mosaic floor of the Emperor's villa about an hour away in the country side. It was impressive. Every room in the house had a mosaic floor. It was preserved because of mudslides that covered it!
Our time here has come to an end. Back to Brussels tomorrow.
Today is Oct 7th....Happy Birthday to Dan!

What a great trip you've had. I don't doubt that the waitress and waiter couldn't get enough of Taft; he is the cutest baby around!
Cool mosaics..that's something I would love to see. I'll have to add it to the long list of places I want to go.
Wow. What a view! And Taft looks little afraid of the crazy Italians.
Taft is trying to either get away or get a full view of this Italian cinematic performance of infatuation.
