Taft man donned his dutch painters hat and checked out Mauritshuis in Den Haag. He is very much a Vermeer fan. As well as a Reubens and Rembrandt fan. You can tell how happy he was to see all that original artwork. Just made his day.
He also loved visiting BAS for a trip down memory lane for his Dad. He was thrilled to be on the football field and feeling the vibes from years past when his Dad played football on that very field. (note the happy grin again!) He could also feel the vibes of his aunts and uncles who also spent many an hour on that territory of ground.
We visited on a Friday and got there just as school was letting out. That would have been 3:05pm. By 3:10pm the school was completely deserted. It was amazing. We all know that school teachers work way too hard and get paid peanuts, but you have to admit that getting out at 3:10 on a Friday has some reward!
