It's still the beginning of the Tour, but we were lucky enough to have it in our 'backyard' so to speak. The first day started in Rotterdam and ended near the Atomium. That's where these photos were taken. Actually this was a biker that was ahead of the pack. The police were telling him to get off the streets. He was flashing a badge of some sort, but it wasn't getting him anywhere. Finally they got him off the streets, but he was ticked. Provided lots of entertainment for the 100's of people that were lining the streets waiting for the real bikers to pass by!
The second day of the tour began at the Cinquantenaire. Colie and I took the metro downtown and stood on the overpass and when they rode by, if we would have stuck out our arms they would have touched the bikers. Amazing they let fans get so close to the athletes, while they are performing!
And more sport news: Will Germany win against Spain tonight? I'm voting for the Netherlands on Sunday no matter who wins tonight!

I would be SUPER ticked if I were that guy! How fun you guys got to watch some of the race!
You guys are crazy to wait so long! I'm glad you had fun though.
Such a thrill! I do wonder though how their little bums can stand such a beating every day. Yipes.
