Old Delhi, Day 2

You always have a friend. Always.
Inside Red Fort was very peaceful: recalls the era of Mughal power and magnificence...tell Rach I think I saw Jasmine here, but not sure. She was asking Jake if I would see her.
La Qila or Red Fort, the greatest of Delhi's Mughal palace-cities.
Old Delhi has streets full of spices. The smell is very intense. Another called wedding street where you buy all your wedding needs. Another is Sarai street, etc. It's a mass of humanity and overwhelming but stimulating.
The men don't like grey hair, so they dye it...and all are orange. I wonder why not black? Is is lack of skill or do they like orange?
Cows, motorcycles, rikshaws, cars, bicycles, pedestrians...you name it, it's on the streets.
How doe the electric repairman know which line to work on? It's one big jumbled mess.
The heavy loads some are required to carry.
Not everyone can afford to set up shop inside a building!
I asked this guy for a picture, and luckily he agreed.
Thousands gather to pray here.
They place their sacred books in this cubby hole while they go to pray.
India's largest Islamic mosque completed in 1656.
The light pouring in through the corridor against the red sandstone and marble was enchanting.
You have to go without shoes in the temples as a sign of humility...everybody. Tom had socks on but I had to go barefoot.

Amazing. Remember how I said that India wasn't on my list? Well, I changed my mind. Top 5!

So many great pictures that really capture the feeling there!
The orange hair cracks me up. It looks HORRIBLE. Gray would be preferable!
