| Drackenburg Schloss. We hiked up here on Saturday and toured the chateau. Beautiful views. Just below the Drackenfel Ruins. We had seen it a thousand times from across the river. Glad we finally visited it. |

| Remagen Bridge, the first point where the Allies crossed into the Rheinland. Pop flew here. The bridge collapsed 10 days after they crossed. |

| What is left of the Remagen Bridge. We biked here and back and were so very tired, but the sunset was awesome. Our highlights: Breakfast at the Dreesen Hotel. Bike and Hike. Dinner at the Bad Godesburg Castle. It was Michelin rated and we think it was our first time to eat at a rated restaurant! Unbelievable tastes. They finally finished the renovation of the tower and we climbed that as well. It's certainly one of our favorite areas in Europe. Dad lived in this fairyland for 3 years and I'm glad he did! Made sure to come back and we have! |

Ok I know exactly that chateau you are talking about. I remember you pointing it out to me from across the river. It looks amazing.
Very cool that Pop wrote it all down so that you can know where he was. It makes it all more real.
