Hue is one of the significant historical and cultural centers of Vietnam. The Imperial City has undergone extensive restoration work and a glimmer of its former glory shines through. Sadly a lot of it was damaged in the wars. We enjoyed wandering around the complex for about 3 hours and felt we got a good feel for what it might have been like in 1805. It was designated a World Heritage Site in 1993.
