Tough Situation

So I just finished a lesson in Seminary. How do you make a very immature 9th grader fit in with very mature 12th graders??? You would think I would have this down to a fine art. Just thought I'd see if you guys had a suggestion. You guys haven't been gone from the HS years as long as I have!

uh. . . its really late and my brain is no longer turned on. Going to school (9 credits), helping my husband run a business, running the household and raising three kids is really kicking my butt this week. Seriously,my brain just doesn't work after 9pm. Maybe I shouldn't be commenting on people's blog this late. :(
However, I will think about it and let you know.

Lara, you are off the hook. My brain doesn't work....it doesn't need till 9pm to shut off! What's my excuse? Well, that's what I'll have to think about and let you know!

Um I have no idea. S/he is probably just intimidated by the older kids and doesn't know how to fit in. So just treat them like another 12th grader and maybe they'll start acting like it.

Or just call them on it without singling them out. Maybe they'll get the hint! :) haha.
Again, I have no idea! Good luck.

I agree with Natalie. Teach to the 12th graders level as much as you think the 9th grader can handle, and the 9th grader will rise to the challenge. I think they have this same problem in Sunday Schools. It's hard to do but you're the best seminary teacher because you make it personal. Go for it!
