This contestant rocks
The real plus for this contestant is that he never gives up. Even after hours on the dance floor and almost dead, the music starts and his body just responds. The audience is very receptive as well. This is going to be such a tough vote. You may want to hold off on any final votes as there will be more contestants entering!

We forgot our camera
Colie and I and a friend from the ward, famous Jessie Taggart, drove all the way to Dresden Germany and went to the Freiburg temple! We did it in 7 hours, had a lovely time in Dresden for the evening, slept in the dorms, did a session the next morning and drove 7 hours back home. Why? Well, it's because Jessie is about to move back to the States and she wanted to go to every temple in Europe. This was her last one to do so we went with her. Fascinating history behind that temple. It was dedicated in 1985, four years before the wall came down! Imagine a temple in communist Germany! The communist government donated the land because of the stalwart example of a member of the church. Wow! We didn't take our camera so we only have memory pictures. Dresden was leveled in WWII but they have rebuilt that city and it looks hundreds of years old. It's beautiful!

Move over Dan, this kid can dance and play an instrument!
I think this is some stiff competition for Dan.
You can hear a dog barking in the background. That would be the Gregoris' dog, Solomon. Jake tells us that he is not barking at him, he is barking at "Nallie".
I think it's summer 1985, so Jake is 3 years old. Love how he pulled up his pants all twisted!
I hope this makes somebody's day.

HAWAII BOUND!!!
That's right folks. Steve found out today. It's off to Hawaii for his Freshman year. He is understandably excited. He also got accepted to BYU-Idaho, and after much soul searching :) decided to go with Hawaii. I think it's because he knew he would get more studying done there or something? So for FHE tonight we discussed that you need to keep perspective on the 'now' so that you don't mess up 'eternity'. IE: do your homework first and then go to the beach!!!! I'm sure you all will have some good advice for him, right?
And that also means that Dad and I will drop him off at college and spend a week or so in Hawaii. We will then plan our home leave around that event. The other happening we would like to attend is Caitlin's wedding in W VA on Aug 9. We will see if that can be arranged, but time will tell.
So congratulations are in order. We are thrilled for him! Way to go Steve-O!

Just so you know. It's been 31 years. I won't get gushy on you all, but you must know, Tom is still the one for me. And we are still havin' fun!
