We forgot our camera
Colie and I and a friend from the ward, famous Jessie Taggart, drove all the way to Dresden Germany and went to the Freiburg temple! We did it in 7 hours, had a lovely time in Dresden for the evening, slept in the dorms, did a session the next morning and drove 7 hours back home. Why? Well, it's because Jessie is about to move back to the States and she wanted to go to every temple in Europe. This was her last one to do so we went with her. Fascinating history behind that temple. It was dedicated in 1985, four years before the wall came down! Imagine a temple in communist Germany! The communist government donated the land because of the stalwart example of a member of the church. Wow! We didn't take our camera so we only have memory pictures. Dresden was leveled in WWII but they have rebuilt that city and it looks hundreds of years old. It's beautiful!

What a fun trip. I had no idea there was a temple in Nazi Germany.
Colie told me ALL about it. It sounds amazing. I'm glad you have fun.
How could all 3 of you forget a camera?!
We didn't realize neither of us had a camera until we were 6 hours into the car trip. Believe me when I say we regretted it sorely! I swear I've learned that lesson a dozen times already but apparently I needed to learn it again: never EVER go on a trip without a bloomin' camera!
