That's right folks. Steve found out today. It's off to Hawaii for his Freshman year. He is understandably excited. He also got accepted to BYU-Idaho, and after much soul searching :) decided to go with Hawaii. I think it's because he knew he would get more studying done there or something? So for FHE tonight we discussed that you need to keep perspective on the 'now' so that you don't mess up 'eternity'. IE: do your homework first and then go to the beach!!!! I'm sure you all will have some good advice for him, right?
And that also means that Dad and I will drop him off at college and spend a week or so in Hawaii. We will then plan our home leave around that event. The other happening we would like to attend is Caitlin's wedding in W VA on Aug 9. We will see if that can be arranged, but time will tell.
So congratulations are in order. We are thrilled for him! Way to go Steve-O!

Congratulations steve! I'm so happy and excited for you. BYU Hawaii is the BEST.
As for homework first then the beach... You can always do your homework AT the beach. :)
Amen to what Natalie said. Seriously - study at the beach! I don't even remember being indoors except to sleep and even then my friends and I usually slept on the beach some nights. My advice? Bring a sweatshirt or jacket. It does get cold at night. Go to bonfires at the beach. Eat as much pineapple as possible (the Caf has unlimited pineapple). The beach is way fun in the rain or the sun. Get involved in your ward and/or with the campus clubs. Visit the PCC. Find adventurous friends. Live it up!
Congrats Steve!!! I am really excited for you. The sun, the beach. . . okay I have never been to Hawaii but it sounds way cool.
Steve, the college man. huh?
Congratulations Steve! You are going to have so much fun! (oh and learn too)
