39th Anniversary Celebrated in Paris, Jan 2016

Thalys.  The best way to get to Paris.  1 hour 20 minutes.  Fabulous.  However, now thanks to Terrorism, we have to go through the same screening as you do at an airport.  I had often wondered when that would start up.  It has begun.

Just a fun shot in the metro

Another cool shot.  Pantheon and nearby apartment building.  Look at the width of those apartments!

We didn't get rained on but it threatened.  Made for some stunning sky.

Steve Villa.  Street musician.  If you care to, look him on up u-tube.  He is a french composer from Nice.  HIs fingers just fly!   He is amazing.  (Rachel, can your fingers go that fast?)

Saint-Etienne-du-Mont.  Our new favorite cathedral.  Why?  See the photos below.

An entire gallery of stained glass panels in the back of the church at eye level.  This is Elijah and the priests of Baal.  It's so great when you can actually see the depiction of the story.

If you have been in one cathedral you have been in them all, right?  Not so with this one.

The rood on a rood screen: a crucifix on the elaborate 16th-century jube in the church of Saint-Étienne-du-Mont, Paris.
We really liked our hotel this time:  Agora Saint-Germaine.  Thanks kids for the hotel room!!!  And we found a super restaurant:  Les Papilles (The tastebuds)  They have only the menu.  The whole restaurant is served the exact same meal.  Everyone seated at 19:00.  Put this one on your bucket list everybody.  In fact:  get your Thalys reservations made soon.  They are cheap right now!

Would that restaurant be kid friendly?
That cathedral is pretty cool. Aliisha's baby is named Etienne and the dad is from Paris. I"ll have to tell them to go!
Those apartments are so crazy tiny. There is nothing behind except sky. I don't get it!
