Our Crummy First Town

These pictures make the city look better than it was. The only really nice thing was the ceramic steps. Oh, and Heidi was brave enough to ask the nice old man if she could have a picture taken with him. We always get a kick out of all the men just hanging out. Guess all the women are at home cooking and cleaning and the men just want to stay out of their way!

Taft Man

Sure is fun to have Taft along. Sorry to those of you who are missing him...that would be ALL of the Bluths! We know we are lucky to have him for ourselves for 6 weeks! He is good as gold and is a very capable traveler. Adapts to all sorts of situations and goes along with the flow. He had his first time in the Mediterranean Sea and loved it. He likes to order pizza and enjoys all the great scenery. His fav flavor of gelato is formula flavor...right! He can chill with the best of the Italian men. He has already conquered jet lag. He is the man.

Today was More Like It

We had great weather and found a stunning city perched on a hill. It's called Taoromina and it lives up to the raves that it gets in the tour book. The ampitheater had unbelievable views. That's one setting where it is better to get the nosebleed seats. We found a restaurant that had similar views and great pizza. Life is good again!
We also snorkeled in the sea, but because of the storms, the water was all stirred up and you couldn't see the fish. Oh well.

I did a few fall pictures in Utah

Suzanne and I had one day to be together so we decided to head up to Millcreek Canyon for a little hike. We found a perfect path, and had stunning colors to admire, and chatted as fast as we could to get caught up for the past 18 months.
By the way, we are now in Sicily. And if you are reading the International news, there has been unseasonable weather and lots of flooding. Even people killed. I guess we picked a bad week to come. We witnessed some of the flooding today. Water pretty deep on the roads and flowing like mad. Hope it stops!

Still emotional

It's been great.

Not really

Well. We didn't find any beach houses that we just had to buy. Still love California though, so we won't give up just yet. Still. I thought it might happen, but it didn't.

For Tom

Tom (and friends if you are interested) here are some of the pictures we have taken while in St. George and here in SLC. Enjoy!
